I take data privacy more seriously than most other platforms. With KiwiCV, you are not forced to disclose your personal data in exchange for job recommendations. That's why you won't see job recommendations here, nor will you see any ads. AI processing takes place exclusively in Frankfurt, which protects your data under strict German privacy laws and the GDPR.
No, quite the opposite. KiwiCV guarantees your complete freedom. Your data remains 100% available to you at all times. All information you create here can be retrieved for free at any time, either locally in your browser or via your own cloud connection. KiwiCV deliberately avoids "hiding" your resume in a closed, proprietary cloud, so there is never a risk of your data ending up behind a paywall. In the unlikely event that KiwiCV is taken offline, your data remains completely unaffected, as it is always stored exclusively with you and never centrally on KiwiCV servers.
No. Your resume is simply optimized by the AI. The AI assistant is configured not to invent information. It merely formulates your existing qualifications more precisely to increase relevance to your target position and maximize your chances of success.
First and foremost, the philosophy of not being a "money-making machine." My primary goal is to help you maximize your opportunities – fairly and transparently. KiwiCV does not represent a specific product, but the goal. For instance, the blog was created to provide you with knowledge and background info so you can understand how to improve your chances yourself.
KiwiCV uses a Gemini instance operated directly in the Frankfurt region. The crucial difference to many other platforms: your data is not transferred to US servers for processing, but remains physically in Germany. As a result, the strict requirements of the GDPR and German data protection law apply in full. While other providers often send user data around the world in an uncontrolled manner to cut costs, KiwiCV relies on a European infrastructure that makes the protection of your data the foundation of the service. In addition, it is guaranteed: model training with your personal data never takes place at any time.
KiwiCV deliberately avoids storing your finished resumes permanently on central servers. Long-term storage takes place exclusively in a decentralized manner: either locally on your device or in your own cloud (such as Google Drive or GitHub). The Drive request therefore serves to offer you this secure, proprietary storage location. The following applies: KiwiCV only receives access to the files it has created itself in your Drive. Your remaining data remains completely untouched. The permission is also completely optional. You can skip it during registration and still use the AI functions. You can also add cloud storage later at any time via the "Save" or export button.
I deliberately avoid empty promises. At KiwiCV, you won't read slogans like "With us, you are guaranteed to get your dream job," "We optimize across 127 dimensions," or "Your new ATS score is 96/100" without proof. I outline all applied strategies as openly and understandably as possible – either directly on the website or in the blog.
